PREVIEW: (518) Musicians on a Mission annual fundraiser

“Through this event, we aim to not only provide a day of entertainment but also contribute to the vital work of the Capital City Rescue Mission in our community.”

This coming Sunday, 11/24 is the annual (518) Musicians on a Mission concert to benefit Capital City Rescue Mission. Capital City Rescue Mission has a 70 year history of not only assisting in the immediate needs of the hungry and unhoused in the area, but also efforts to offer a chance for a new start.

While this event is jam-packed with local talent and sure to be a great time, it is also a very important community initiative to really help and make an impact in the lives of those that are facing struggle. This all-day event will feature performances from such 518 luminaries as Kevin McKrell, Erin Harkes Band, The Refrigerators, The Lustre Kings and so many more! Also, as if the music wasn’t enough, there will be a variety of delicious food available for purchase to enjoy while grooving to the music.

James Kelly, the organizer of this annual event, is particularly excited for this year's concert. "We believe in the power of music to bring people together for a common purpose. Through this event, we aim to not only provide a day of entertainment but also contribute to the vital work of the Capital City Rescue Mission in our community."
