PREVIEW: Curtain Call Theatre Proudly Presents "The Garbologists"

02/27 - 03/16 @ Curtain Call Theatre, Latham

Get ready for an unforgettable evening of laughter and emotion as Curtain Call Theatre presents The Garbologists, an endearing comedy by Lindsay Joelle. Directed by talented Resident Director, Steve Fletcher, this production promises a heartwarming exploration of unexpected friendships amid the vibrant chaos of New York City.

Opening this Thursday, February 27th, and running through March 16th, The Garbologists tells the story of an unlikely duo: Danny, a rough-around-the-edges sanitation worker with a heart of gold, and Marlowe, an ambitious Ivy League graduate diving into the gritty world of waste collection. Together, in the cab of a massive 19 aton garbage truck, they engage in witty banter, unearth hidden treasures among discarded items, and ultimately discover their shared humanity against the backdrop of their drastically different lives.

Join us in celebrating the essential workers who keep our city thriving as this touching narrative reveals the profound connections that can blossom in the most unexpected situations. Sometimes the most precious treasures are the connections we form along the journey!

Performances are scheduled for Thursdays at 7:30 PM, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 PM, and Sundays at 2 PM, with a special Saturday matinee on March 8th at 2 PM. Located at 1 Jeanne Jugan Lane, Latham, NY, Curtain Call Theatre has proudly delivered quality, intimate performances for over 30 years.

Gather your friends and family and immerse yourselves in a night filled with joy and introspection—this is a story you won’t want to miss!

The cast includes David Robert Orr and Angelique Powell. Set Design by Lucas A. Degirolamo, Lighting Design by Lily Fossner, Sound Design by Emerson Wachnik, Props Design and Stage Management by Cece Widomski.
