Preview: RegFest Webinar Educates Musicians on Maximizing Income from their Art
04/03 via Zoom
One of the biggest questions musicians often face is, “How do I earn money for my endeavors?” Not that any of us should do it for the money… but it certainly helps make the whole thing palatable.
Local songwriter Cassandra Kubinski is offering up answers to questions like this one, by moderating a free webinar called RegFest. It is taking place this Thursday, April 3 at 3:00 PM, and open to all songwriters, producers and musicians with the goal of maximizing their royalties and protecting their rights.
The panel—BMI Creative Director Katie Kilgallen, Cosynd Founder & CEO Jessica Sobhraj, The MLC National Director of Industry Relations Jamie Dominguez, SoundExchange Associate Director of Artist & Industry Relations Marc Rucker, and Too Lost Senior Product Manager Jen Ferrer—will provide valuable insights from years of experience within the industry on how to collect every cent from royalties on downloads, streaming, radio and more.
Topics covered within the webinar will include:
Registering compositions, masters, and performances with a performing rights organization to ensure you’re collecting every dollar owed to you
Claiming all income streams and automating earnings
Protecting rights and securing ownership in case your music is stolen or misused.
Registration for the event is open now, and will take place via Zoom for those interested. There will even be a replay after the fact if you can’t make it live, but you must register to access that. This is a great opportunity to turn those exposure bucks into actual dollars and cents! Don’t miss out!
RegFest will take place via Zoom on April 3rd at 3:00 PM EST. The event will last approximately 60-90 minutes with time for a Q&A included. Register HERE today.
