“For fans of The Beatles, Wings, or Paul McCartney, this performance is a must-see.”

Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney is a musical tribute dedicated to Paul McCartney and the brainchild of singer and recording artist, Tony Kishman. Before forming the aforementioned tribute, Kishman starred for six years in both the national and international tours of the musical Beatlemania.

On this special evening, Kishman, along with his four-piece band, performed in front of an intimate and appreciative crowd at the historic Cohoes Music Hall.  The show included songs from McCartney’s early years with The Beatles through his time with Wings and a few selections from his solo career. The opening set leaned heavily into McCartney’s years with Wings, with the band performing “Jet”, “Junior’s Farm”, and “Silly Love Songs”. Beatles tunes included “Penny Lane” and “Got To Get You Into My Life”. Kishman finished out the set on piano and covered the Wings hit “Let ‘Em In” and delivered melodic renditions of The Beatles’ “The Long and Winding Road” and “Let It Be”.

The second set picked up right where the first left off. The enthusiastic audience danced and sang their way through more Beatles tunes like “Get Back”, “Yesterday”, “Something”, and ‘Lady Madonna”. More selections from the Wings era included “Band On The Run”, “My Love”, and “Live and Let Die”. The set ended with a powerful rendition of the continuous trio of “Golden Slumbers”, “Carry That Weight” and “The End”. The nostalgic evening ended with the all-time classic “Hey Jude” and a boisterous, audience participation version of “I Saw Her Standing There”.

The Live and Let Die: The Music of Paul McCartney show was a befitting tribute to Paul McCartney and his music. Tony Kishman not only recreated the sound and energy of McCartney admirably, but also captured his spirit and legacy as one of the greatest artists of all time. For fans of The Beatles, Wings, or Paul McCartney, this performance is a must-see.
