PREVIEW: She Creates: A Tribute to Women’s Strength

03/01 - 03/08 @ YWCA NorthEastern NY, Schenectady

With Women’s History Month beginning, YWCA has eagerly begun their fourth annual art show, She Creates: A Tribute to Women’s Strength. Currently running through March 8th, the exhibit displays and honors the work of women throughout the Capital Region, featuring over 60 pieces of art. With the show open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily, in the midst of the historic Stockade district, there are plenty of opportunities to stop by and explore the exciting art they have to offer.

The themes of resilience and empowerment represented in the show are a perfect fit for the YWCA, which provides support for women and children across the Capital Region. The support they provide is versatile, ranging from education to safe housing to advocacy and beyond. A portion of the proceeds from all artwork sales during this show will go to the YWCA of NorthEastern NY, helping to fund those critical services for members of our own community.

“We are thrilled to host another year of this incredible art show,” Kim Siciliano, CEO of YWCA NorthEastern NY, states. “Women’s creativity has always been a powerful force for change, and this exhibit honors that strength in all its forms. We invite the community to join us in celebrating the talent and resilience of women, while supporting the essential work that YWCA NENY does year-round.”

Whether you’re looking to view incredible local art, support the necessary and powerful work of the YWCA, or honor the strength of women, She Creates is the perfect opportunity to do all three. However, the show is for a limited time only, so don’t wait until the last minute to attend!
